Humans of Nelson makes Kickstarter goal

A Nelson based photography project has passed its goal of raising $10,000 online.

As of Friday at noon 175 people had donated to the Humans of Nelson Kickstarter campaign that will allow local photographer Ryan Oakley to publish two thousand books initially.

Oakley says it’s an amazing feeling to receive the support he has and a huge relief to meet the goal nearly 24 hours before his deadline.

Oakley says they will now finish the design of the book with the hope of sending it to the printers next month and have it ready in November.
