Updated: Second vehicle fire in Fruitvale this month

Trail RCMP say two vehicle fires in Fruitvale this month were most likely acts of arson. The first happened on July 9 on Columbia Gardens Road and the second was on July 19 on McLeod Road.

In both cases the RCMP were able to find the registered owners who still had the keys to the vehicle. Both may have been stolen.

The incidents are suspicious in nature and the investigation is still ongoing.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Trail RCMP Detachment at 250-364-2566 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
