The Province has been hosting community meetings in the region as Canada and the US start negotiations on the Columbia River Treaty. Kootenay-West MLA Katrine Conroy attended Castlegar’s event on Thursday.
Conroy says the next round of treaty negotiations will be held in the Kootenays.
The community meetings will wrap up on June 21 in Nakusp.
