Swan song for Waneta Terrestrial Compensation program

This year’s funding intake marks the end of the Waneta Terrestrial Compensation Program.
It was launched in 2012 by Columbia Basin Trust and Columbia Power Corporation.
Program manager Michael Hounjet says it had led to a deeper understanding of flora and fauna in the Pend d’Oreille ecosystem near Trail.
Five projects are getting $350,000 for the final intake.
