Construction delay for new hotel at Red Mountain

The developer of the new hotel at Red Mountain appears to have hit a snag in the foundation work.

That will mean a delay in construction.

In a statement the Texas-based company says they’ve exposed the rock to determine what further excavation is needed.

They’ve decided not to rush work before the onset of winter and will resume in the spring.

The company adds they’ll be refining the hotel design but did not go into details.

Completion is now scheduled for later in 2016.
