Spartans sweep Saints

The Trinity Western University Spartans are BCIHL champions.

They clinched the title Friday on home ice with a 4-1 win over the Selkirk Saints to sweep the best-of-three finals 2-0.

Saints forward Dallas Calvin had Selkirk’s lone goal.

Shots were 42-42.

This is the first time the Saints have finished as runner-up in the finals.
