Castlegar Search and Rescue were called to action for the second time in less than a week this afternoon.
Operations manager Gord Ihlen says they helped a snowmobiler in distress in the Goose Creek area north of Castlegar after hearing a report from BC Ambulance Service.
They were able to land a helicopter near him.
He adds the man had two friends with him who had cell service and were able to call for help.
He was treated by medics on scene and left in care of BC Ambulance Service.
Ihlen says he was in a lot of pain but in stable condition.
