Trail’s Career Development Services has stepped up to ensure the Columbia Youth Development Centre stays open.
Program coordinator Sheila Adcock says they’re happy to step in for the outgoing board of directors.
Adcock says they won’t make any immediate changes so the kids who use the centre can ease through the transition.
She says youth who use the centre are happy it’s staying open
The centre was slated to close March 1.
There’s an open house at the centre tomorrow partly to celebrate it staying open and to discuss the many services it offers youths in Trail.
The meeting starts at 7:00 pm at 1696 Second Avenue.
