New nightclub set to open in Castlegar

Downtown Castlegar’s nightlife scene is set to get a boost.

Chamber of Commerce boss Tammy Verigin-Burk says a vacant nightclub has a new tennant.

Woods Nightclub will be run by the main stage director for Shambhala Music Festival.

Verigin-Burk says it’s set to open next month.

She adds it will be great for the local economy.

The Element opened in 2005.

It has been closed since last spring.
