The Castlegar and District Community Services Society and its youth action network will be holding an event in solidarity with others across Canada to raise funds to help those who are hungry, hurting and homeless.
Zoe Mackay is the director for the Coldest Night of the Year walk-a-thon.
She says Castlegar’s fundraising goal for the event is $20,000.
It happens February 24.
