Lots of local love for “Hollow in the Land”

The director of the locally filmed movie “Hollow in the Land” says the flick went “gangbusters” in our region for its opening weekend.

Scooter Corkle says it received so much support in Castlegar that Kootenay Centre Cinemas is extending the film’s run by another week.

Corkle was in Castlegar for the film’s debut Friday and held a Q&A session with the audience after it finished.

Corkle adds he signed his first few autographs at the Lions Head pub in Robson Friday night after the screenings.

The film packs a punch in terms of star-power, with the female lead played by Diana Agron of the hit T-V show “Glee”.

Corkle says he’ll continue to promote the movie across the country.
