Interior Health says elective hip and knee total joint replacement surgeries at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail will resume Monday.
The elective surguries were put on hold late last year due to concerns regarding an increase in surguical site infections.
IH conducted a review of joint replacement surgical processes at the hospital and identified a number of improvements that could be made.
They did not find a specific cause which triggered the spike in infections.
