RCMP seek public assistance with Genelle homicide investigation

Trail RCMP and the Southeast District Major Crime Unit are still seeking public assistance in their investigation of a Genelle homicide.

Corporal Dan Moskaluk says they’ve released some new details regarding their investigation.

They’ve also confirmed the identity of the homicide victim.

Workman’s body was found inside the trunk of a burned Honda Civic on Highway 22 on January 14.

Moskaluk says the victim was targeted and there is no increased risk to public safety.

Investigators would like to speak to anybody who may have been in the area January 13 and 14.
