The Ministry of Transportation says they’ll await the outcomes of investigations surrounding recent fatal crashes on Highway 22 before determining if safety improvements will be made.
There’s been four fatalities since November 20 along the highway which connects Castlegar and Trail.
The ministry says safety of the travelling public is their top priority and they regularly monitor all the province’s highways, incluidng Highway 22, to ensure they’re operating safely and efficiently.
They add all incidents are taken seriously, particularly those which result in injuries or fatalities.
