A 91-year-old man who was struck by a BC Transit bus in Castlegar last week has died.
It happened at 5:09 pm at the intersection of 7th Avenue and 6th Street January 9.
The bus was carrying passengers but none were injured.
The man was taken to hospital with injuries which were said to be non life-threatening and Castlegar RCMP were told he was expected to fully recover.
But he succumbed to his injuries Friday.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
Speed, alcohol and road conditions were ruled out as factors.
RCMP say they’ll release more details when the investigation unfolds.
