Trail seeking CBT Rec Infrastructure grant

The City of Trail hopes to cash in on a Columbia Basin Trust grant to give an old tennis court a new lease on life.

Mayor Mike Martin says they’ll submit an application seeking $32,000 through the CBT’s recreation infrastructure program.

They hope to convert the court at Lower Sunningdale Park to a multi-use area.

Martin says it would be a great fit for the park.

He adds the area would be quite versitile, capable of hosting a number of different sports.

The grant will cover half the project’s costs if approved.
