Close calls with a coyote for some Trail residents

The wily coyote who has been touring Trail the past number of weeks is still lurking around the Silver City.

West Kootenay conservation officer Ben Beetlestone says some residents have encountered the coyote in proximities they feel are too close for comfort.

He says the animal has likely become food conditioned.

Beetlestone says the coyote likely wasn’t trying to attack anybody.

It will be euthanized when found by the conservation officer service.
