If you’ve been looking to try your hand at ice carving there is an event in Winlaw you might want to check out.
The Slocan Valley Arts Council is getting set for its annual Winter Ice Day.
Peter Vogelaar says they still have room for participants will be looking after the ice carving event.
Vogelaar adds it’s a great chance to learn about ice carving.
He says last year featured some pretty nifty creations.
The event also features an ice slide for children.
It had originally been scheduled for Saturday but will go ahead Sunday instead as cooler weather is expected.
The event runs from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm in front of Sleep is for Sissies.
