About 100 people took part in yesterday’s Polar Bear swim at Trail’s Gyro Park.
Sergeant Shane Batch with the 44th Field Engineer Squadron helped to organize the event.
He also took a dip in the cool water.
He says the event has grown significantly since its start 30 years ago
The water in the Columbia River was 3.5 degrees.
Nelson also held their Polar Bear Swim yesterday.
