Castlegar forgoes good samaritan award…for now

Are you getting bashful, Castlegar?

The city was unable to hand out their good samaritan award this year due to a lack of nominations.

Mayor Lawrence Chernoff says he knows there are plenty of eligible candidates in the community.

The city will look into seeking nominations for the award in the spring.

The winner gets $250 to donate to a local charity of their choosing.
