The Kootenay Columbia school district is getting a funding injection to bolster their breakfast programs.
Board chair Teri Ferworn says they’re getting over $66,00 from a social grant through the Columbia Basin Trust.
The funds are meant to help build a sustainable food-secure environment for students.
That includes garden projects and providing nutritional education.
