Silver City wants to be on the Trans-Canada Trail

The Silver City wants to make sure it will be on the Trans Canada Trail.
Trail’s Engineer Technician Warren Proulx says they are working with the director of the Alberta, B.C and North West Territories regions leading up to the 2017 completion deadline.

Proulx says the 24,000 kilometre recreation route will be a national legacy and they want to be part of it.

Proulx is proposing the trail would come from Christina Lake to Rossland, Warfield and then go across Trail’s Victoria Street Bridge out to Sunningdale, Castlegar and on to Nelson.

The Trans Canada is being linked up to celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary.
