Truck fire causes smokey situation in Castlegar

A truck was badly dammaged after catching fire in Castlegar earlier today.

Fire chief Sam Lattanzio says the blaze was reported just before 9:30 am on 12th Street.

There were no injuries.

The fire caused a plume of black smoke to cover the area.

An investigation is ongoing to determine what caused the fire
