No Fortis BC rate increases to begin 2018

A drop in the price for natural gas means savings for local Fortis BC customers.

Spokeswoman Nicole Bogdanovic says the annual decrease is 6%, or $45.

Another factor in the decrease is a drop in the storage and transport rate.

She adds electricity rates are expected to remain status quo.
