Village of Nakusp reaches deal with unionized employees

After more than two years of negotiations it appears a new deal has been reached between the Village of Nakusp and CUPE 2450 members.

The Arrow Lakes News reports the two sides reached a tentative agreement last week.

On November 23rd the union overwhelmingly voted against ratifying the village’s last offer.

They said sticking points included wages, retroactive pay and more.

There hasn’t been a deal in place between the two sides since July 2015.
