Trail Regional Airport celebrates new terminal building

The new terminal building at Trail’s airport is officially open.

It was made official today with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The event featured speeches, refreshments and a draw to win a return flight from Trail to Vancouver.

Mayor Mike Martin spoke to the airport’s partnership with Pacific Coastal Airlines.

Airport steering committee chair Kevin Jolly thanked the large crowd.

He said the vision for the new terminal was hatched a long time ago.

The newl building is 4,200 square feet.

It features a spacious waiting are for passengers with access to wi-fi and children’s play area.

Some amenities are still being added such as landscaping.

Roughly 250 people attended ceremony.
