The Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League has approved a new franchise to operate out of the West Kootenay.
Suzanne Belanger with the West Kootenay Junior Lacrosse team planning committee says they need players born between 1997 and 2001, coaches and referees.
They plan to use the Castlegar Rec Complex as one of their home rinks.
Recruitment is underway.
The season starts in April and provincials are in July.
