The City of Castlegar has passed a pair of zoning amendment bylaws.
One allows cannabis production facilities to operate on surplus airport lands.
Mayor Lawrence Chernoff says this should help bring more jobs to the area.
The second zoning amendment allows adult day-sitting services to operate from homes.
Chernoff says it will be a valuable service.
There was a public hearing Monday for both amendments which three residents attended.
None expressed any objections.
