A strong statement of support from a familiar name for one of two candidates in the nomination race for the federal Conservative Party in the new South Okanagan West Kootenay riding.
Former Castlegar-based MP Jim Gouk – who won in four successive general elections from the early 90’s to early 2000’s – is getting behind Marshall Neufeld.
He says the Penticton realtor is dedicated to the cause.
Neufeld was a parliamentary assistant to former MP Stockwell Day.
West Kelowna councillor Rick De Jong is the other nomination candidate.
Voting among conservative members runs till Saturday.
