There will be a public hearing tonight hosted by the City of Castlegar at the Community Forum regarding a pair of zoning bylaw amendments.
One is to allow a cannabis production facility to operate on suplus airport lands.
The facility is strictly for producuction and would not operate as a dispensary.
The second amendment is to allow adult day-sitting services to operate from homes.
If the bylaw is adopted, day care for seniors will be premitted as a home occupation.
The hearing starts at 6:00 pm.
