The City of Castlegar has to pay for recent repairs to a CP Rail crossing on 18th Street.
To do so the city has transferred $160,000 from its land acquisition budget line item.
Councillor Sue Heaton-Sherstobitoff says the tracks are in much better shape now.
The city is responsible for looking after repairs for secondary rail-crossings.
