The City of Castlegar is reminding busineeses and residents that they can take steps to ensure snow removal and sanding operations go off without a hitch.
This means removing all unused vehicles, boats and trailers from streets by November 15.
When shovelling you should always move snow to the right side of the driveway, not on the street.
The city runs snow removal operations on a priority basis.
The first priority is Columbia Avenue and Arrow Lakes Drive as well as residential streets with hills at a 9% grade or higher.
