Castlegar City Council will likely support an application to the Union of BC Municipalities’ Age-Friendly Grant Program at Monday’s meeting.
If successful the city would receive $25,000 to develop an age-friendly assessment and action plan.
The work would be carried out by the Community Response Network.
The grant program is intended to assists local governments in supporting ageing populations.
