The City of Castlegar received plenty of feedback regarding proposed changes to its sewer and water rate structure at yesterday’s open house.
But not everybody is applauding the new system.
Resident Julia Havdale says she needs to consume more water in the summer to protect her lawn from potential fire hazards.
Water consultant Ehrin Lee with Urban Systems gave four presentations including one at the beginning of the event which drew over 50 people.
He took plenty of questions.
The city is looking at moving to a consumption-based rate structure.
