There’ve been a number of reports of recent cougar sightings in Fruitvale.
Wildsafe BC community coordinator Desiree Profili says the big cats are likely seeking food.
She says it’s a good idea to keep pets indoors especially smaller dogs and cats.
Any sightings should be reported to the conservation service.
