Students enrolled in Selkirk College’s school of environment and geomatics have made the parking lot at the Castlegar campus much more environmentally friendly.
Instructor Doris Hausleitner says they’ve installed bioswales to capture, localize and accumulate storm water runoff.
This will protect local water systems from sediment and chemical runoff.
