Production at Teck Trail operations fell in the third quarter.
The company says refined zinc output was 78,400 tonnes was six per cent lower than the same time last year due to lower roaster availability.
Silver production was 16 per cent lower than a year ago primarily due to changes to the feed mix due to operating disruptions at some mines that supply lead concentrates.
As a result of the changes in the feed mix, Teck says it now expects silver production of 20 to 22 million ounces, down from 23 to 25 million ounces.
Refined lead production of 22,900 tonnes was similar to a year ago.
Teck says its Trail operation turned a gross profit of $1 million in the third quarter, down from $58 million last year.
Operating costs were similar to a year ago at $97 million, not counting $26 million related to the ratification of a new five-year collective agreement with employees.
Company-wide Teck is reporting adjusted third-quarter profits of $621 million dollars, up from $152 million.
