The CEO for the BC SPCA says he’s happy construction is underway for the new West Kootenay Community Animal Centre.
Craig Daniell says they were able to work in good faith with the City of Castlegar to get all the necessary permits in order to begin construction.
Daniell says they’re still seeking $150,000 to go towards completing the project.
The price tag for the new facility is just under $2.7 million.
It’s being built in Ootischenia.
