The city of Grand Forks and the company installing water meters across town are hosting a public open house Tuesday afternoon.
Residents can learn about the process, how the mock billing will work and about water conservation in general.
And Mayor Brian Taylor says they’re also taking volunteer names to be among the first to get a meter.
The open house is from 3 pm till 7 pm at the Seniors Centre.
Taylor says they have a right and a responsibility to connect all residents to a meter and the roll-out will start very soon.
