The City of Trail has opted to put a portion of one of their capital projects on hold.
Cost estimates for the covered balcony that was eyed for the new Riverfront Centre Library/Museum facility in Trail have come in over-budget.
Councillor Robert Cacchioni says they budgeted $50,000 for the balcony but estimates pegged the price at nearly $70,000.
The city will look into adding the balcony to next year’s budget.
It is viewed as a discretionary item.
