It’s the end of an era for the Castlegar Fire Department.
Chief Sam Lattanzio says they’ll be saying goodbye to their old fire truck, also known as Engine 3.
Earlier this year the city received a new ladder truck which replaced Engine 3.
The old truck is being handed over to Firefighers Without Borders Canada.
It will be used by a fire department in Mexico.
