The Trail Smoke Eaters have added some depth to their defence.
They’ve acquired Trevor Zins from the United States Hockey League’s Cedar Rapids Roughriders.
Smokies coach Cam Keith expects Zins to be a great fit.
In order to make room on their roster for Zins the Smokies had to part ways with defenders Olsen Werenka and Karsten Jang who is back with the KIJHL’s Beaver Valley Nitehawks.
The Smokies also traded forward Corbyn Chabot to the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s Drayton Thunder.
