Regional home sales on the rise

The Kootenay was among the top regions in BC for house sales last month.

It saw a 36% increase in units sold compared to June 2013.

Paul Shreenan with Fair Realty in Nelson and Past President of the Kootenay Real Estate Board says low interest rates are part of the reason.


In June last year only 9 homes sold in Nelson while 26 sold last month.

In Trail the figure increased from 8 to 14 sales and in Castlegar from 15 to 18.
