The Castlegar Firefighters Association has earned national recognition for their efforts in raising funds for Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
They’ve received the 2017 Up and Coming Fire Department of the year award
Castlegar fire chief Sam Lattanzio says it’s an honour.
Since 1980 they’ve raised over $40,000 for the cause.
