Salmo has closed its emergency operations centre.
It opened on Aug. 10 due to the McCormick Creek wildfire southwest of the village.
They received people evacuated due to the fire and prepared for a possible evacuation of Shambhala.
But they now say there is no longer an immediate threat.
An evacuation order for the Nelway area was cancelled last night although an evacuation alert remains in place.
