A fixture in Castlegar’s soccer community has been honoured for his 40-plus years of service.
Carlos Amaral is one of this year’s 10 recipients of the BC Soccer Award of Merit.
There was a ceremony for him last week.
Amaral has helped with minor and adult soccer as a coach, referee and a number of other roles.
