Castlegar grad moves up in refereeing world

A young Castlegar man is moving up the ranks in the hockey refereeing world.

17 year old Eric Pilla was one of eight people from across BC to be selected for last week’s Officiating Program of Excellence on Vancouver Island.

Pilla knows the game inside and out but admits he’s not the most gifted of players.

Pilla will don his black and white stripes this coming season in the KIJHL and Major Midget action.
