Rosslanders 6th in home leg of Amazing Race

Some nice exposure for Nelson and Castlegar on The Amazing Race Canada last night.

Contestants were sent to our area for challenges on the orange bridge, Zuckerberg Island, and Selkirk College.

Rosslanders Ryan Lachapelle and Kenneth McAlpine couldn’t believe it.

The geographic knowledge didn’t really help though.

They got held up by a blacksmithing challenge and finished sixth out of eight.

They did however win $5,000 for efficient use of their electric car.
