Regional wildfire danger escalating

The Southeast Fire Centre is expecting the fire danger rating to increase along with the temperatures.

Fire Information Officer Jordan Turner reminds people to be vigilant as local highs could reach up to 39 C over the next seven days.

 

The rating is currently high in south east BC with extreme pockets around Grand Forks and Nakusp.

Turner adds the hot and dry weather is forecast or the next seven to 10 days and there is a good chance of person caused fires.
