The Village of Montrose and CUPE 2087 have ratified a new collective bargaining agreement.
CUPE president Jean Poole says the deal is fair for both sides.
She adds bargaining was done in good faith and with respect on both sides.
The union represents six municipal workers.
The mayor of Montrose is also happy with the new deal
Joe Danchuk agrees that it’s fair to both sides.
He was particularly happy the deal was reached within one day of bargaining.
The agreement expires February 29, 2020.
